Home nursing services: a verified nurse at your parents’ home
Eldrly’s home nursing plans put a verified nurse at your parents’ home on a monthly quota of visits, alongside a trained caregiver on a 12-hour shift, from ₹33,000 a month. Nurse visits are for clinical work a family cannot do — dressings, injections, catheter and tube care, post-operative checks — and the family and the nurse agree the date of each visit rather than being handed a fixed roster.

What a home nurse actually does
A nurse visit is clinical. It is not companionship and it is not the daily-living support a caregiver gives, which is why the two are sold together and not as substitutes for each other. On a visit, the nurse works to the treating doctor’s instructions.
- Wound and surgical-site dressing, and checking for infection.
- Injections and intravenous medication as prescribed.
- Catheter, feeding-tube and ostomy care.
- Vitals, blood-sugar checks and a written note for the treating doctor.
- Bedsore checks and repositioning advice for the caregiver.
- Teaching the family what to watch for between visits.
Nurse or caregiver — which does your parent need?
Most families who ask for "a nurse" need a caregiver most of the day and a nurse some of the time. Bathing, mobility, meals and medicine reminders are caregiver work, at a caregiver’s price. Anything involving a needle, a wound or a tube is nursing work.
That is how the plans are built: every plan includes a caregiver for 26 days a month, and Silver, Gold and Platinum add a monthly quota of nurse visits and doctor visits on top. A family paying nurse rates for companionship is the most common way to overspend on home care.
How the visits are scheduled
Nurse visits are a monthly quota, not fixed dates. When a visit is needed the nurse presses "On my way" in the Eldrly app, the family sees them coming, and the visit starts only once the family reads out a 4-digit PIN from their own Eldrly account. Nobody unexpected is ever at the door.
If a visit is not used in the month it does not roll over, so families with a predictable need — a dressing every third day, say — should choose the plan whose quota matches it rather than the largest one.
Who the nurses are
Every nurse proves their identity through DigiLocker and has their qualification checked before they are approved; Eldrly never stores an Aadhaar number. Nurses are matched by real travel time from where they live, which in Mumbai is the difference between a visit that happens and one that is always "tomorrow".
What home nursing is not
It is not an ICU at home and it is not an emergency service. A nurse visit cannot replace a hospital admission the treating doctor has advised. In an emergency, call 112, or 108 for an ambulance in many states.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a home nurse cost in India?
Eldrly plans that include nurse visits start at ₹33,000 a month, which also covers a 12-hour caregiver for 26 days. Standalone nurse visits are not sold; the visit quota is part of the plan.
Are Eldrly nurses registered?
Qualifications are checked before a nurse is approved, and identity is verified through DigiLocker. Nurses work to the treating doctor’s written instructions and do not diagnose.
Can the nurse give injections and IV medicines at home?
Yes, when prescribed by the treating doctor. The prescription is what the nurse works from.
Is a night nurse available?
Night plans are priced separately from day plans and cover the same visit quota; the caregiver’s 12-hour shift becomes the night shift. Choose "Night" when booking.
Which cities do you cover?
Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane today; Pune and Delhi NCR are next. Availability is confirmed by pincode when you book.
