Delete your account

1Who this page is for

This page explains how to delete an Eldrly account and what happens to the data held with it. It covers the Umesh Vegda Private Limited website, the Eldrly customer Android app and the Eldrly Partner Android app.

You do not need to give a reason, and asking does not affect any payment already owed to you.

2How to ask

There are two routes and they have the same effect.

• In the Eldrly app (families): open My Profile, then Delete account. The app tells you what will happen before anything is done, and asks you to type DELETE to confirm.
• In Eldrly Partner (care professionals): open Profile, then Delete account. The app tells you what will happen before anything is done, and asks you to confirm.
• By email: write to contact@eldrly.in from your registered email address and quote the mobile number your account uses. We check the request is genuinely yours before acting on it, because an account deletion nobody can undo must not be triggered by somebody else.

3What is erased straight away

The moment a request is confirmed, we erase the personal data we hold no legal duty to keep. This happens immediately, whether or not the rest of the account can go on the same day.

• Your sign-in sessions, so every signed-in device is signed out.
• Device and notification tokens, so nothing can push to your phone again.
• Your location history, including every position recorded while you were on duty.
• Saved jobs, job responses, support conversations and your saved payout destinations.
• For a family account: your name, email, saved addresses, door PIN and support conversations. Your mobile number is replaced so it can no longer identify you.

4What is kept, and why

Some records cannot be deleted on request, because Eldrly is required to keep them. These are retained for the periods set out in the Privacy Policy and are used for nothing else.

• Completed visits, earnings entries, payouts and invoices. These are financial and tax records. A partner asking to be forgotten does not erase an invoice, and we will not pretend otherwise.
• Reviews left by the families you cared for, which belong to those families rather than to the account.
• Records behind a care professional’s verification, which exist so a family can be told a partner was checked.
• Where any of these apply, your registration is retained alongside them and removed when the retention period ends. You are told this at the moment you ask, not afterwards.

5If a booking is still expecting you

An account assigned to a booking that has not finished cannot be deleted that day, and the app will tell you the booking code. This is not a way of keeping you: a family is expecting somebody at their door, and quietly unassigning you would send nobody.

The same applies to a family account with care still being delivered: the booking has to finish or be cancelled first, so that the people visiting your home are not left without a record of whom they are visiting.

Finish the booking, or ask us to reassign it by writing to contact@eldrly.in, and then delete the account.

6How long it takes

A deletion made in the app takes effect immediately. Where records must be retained, the request is recorded the same day and the registration is removed when the retention period ends.

An emailed request is completed within 30 days of us confirming it is yours, and we write to tell you when it is done.

7If you change your mind

Data already erased cannot be brought back — there is no copy held aside for that purpose, which is what makes the erasure real.

If a request is still outstanding and you would rather it were not completed, write to contact@eldrly.in before the retention period ends and we will cancel it.

8Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how a deletion request was handled, contact our Grievance Officer, Gaurang Umesh Vegda, at grievance@eldrly.in. We acknowledge within 24 hours and respond within 15 days.
