A trained caregiver for your parents, 12 hours a day, 26 days a month
Eldrly’s caregiver plan gives your parents a verified, trained caregiver at home for a 12-hour day or night shift, 26 days a month, from ₹20,000 a month. It is the plan for daily living — bathing, moving safely, meals, medicines on time and someone in the house — and it is the base every other Eldrly plan is built on.

Caretaker, attendant, caregiver — what the job is
Families use all three words. The work is the same: help with the things a person can no longer safely do alone, and company while doing them.
- Bathing, toileting, dressing and personal hygiene, with dignity.
- Safe transfers — bed to chair, chair to bathroom — and walking support.
- Meals and feeding, including a doctor-advised diet.
- Medicines at the right time, from a written schedule.
- Repositioning a bedridden patient to prevent bedsores.
- Company, conversation and telling the family what changed today.
What a caregiver does not do
A caregiver is not a nurse. Injections, dressings, catheter or tube care are nursing work and are covered by the nurse visits in the Silver, Gold and Platinum plans. A caregiver is also not domestic staff: cooking for the household or cleaning the home is not part of the role, and families who blur that line lose good caregivers quickly.
The shift, the rota and Sundays
The shift is 12 hours, day or night, for 26 days in a calendar month. Sundays are the weekly holiday. The rota is set when the booking starts, and the caregiver checks in each day from the Eldrly app; on the first and last day the family confirms the visit with a 4-digit PIN from their own account.
If the caregiver cannot come on a day, the care team arranges a replacement from partners near your address. Tell them as early as you can.
Who the caregivers are
Every caregiver proves their identity through DigiLocker before approval; Eldrly never stores Aadhaar numbers. Caregivers are matched by real travel time from where they live — a caregiver who takes ninety minutes each way does not last a fortnight, whatever an agency promises — and families may ask for a female or male caregiver when booking.
Live-in versus 12-hour shifts
Eldrly sells 12-hour shifts, not live-in staff. A live-in arrangement means one exhausted person on duty for 24 hours; two shifts mean two rested people. Families who need round-the-clock cover book a day plan and a night plan.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a caretaker for elderly cost per month?
Eldrly’s caregiver plan starts at ₹20,000 a month for a 12-hour day shift, 26 days a month. Night shifts are priced separately. The price is the same across the cities we serve.
Can I choose a female caregiver?
Yes. A gender preference can be set when booking, and only matching caregivers are offered the work.
Is the caregiver trained?
Yes. Qualifications and identity are checked before approval. The caregiver works from a written care note and reports to the family daily.
What happens on Sundays?
Sunday is the weekly holiday. The month covers 26 working days.
Can the same caregiver come every day?
That is the aim, and it is why matching is done by travel time — continuity fails when the journey is unreasonable. A replacement is arranged when the regular caregiver is unavailable.
